It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gladys Faw of Rocky Mount, Virginia, born in Maybeury, West Virginia, who passed away on July 18, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Janney and Martha Willis Janney; and her husband Gurney W. Faw. She is survived by: her children, Randy W. Faw (Debra) of Wirtz, VA and Sue F. Hedrick (Clay) of Lugoff, SC; her grandchildren, Tammy Faw, Scott Faw (Tiffany V.), Tiffany Faw, DJ Woolwine (Erica) and Katherine Hedrick (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Anthony Broughman (Brittney), Bobby Duke, Nichole Duke, Brianna Woolwine, Landon Woolwine, Xander Watts, Hayden Hedrick, Ryland Russell, Brock Faw, Mitch Faw and Amelia Faw; her great great grandchildren, Aniyah, Brooklyn, Gabriella, Jeremiah, Aubrey and Silas; and her sister Annie Washburn (Versil). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donation be made in Gladys's memory to Halesford Baptist Church.
