He is survived by: his wife Linda Cooper Handy of Rocky Mount; his daughter Kelly Cooper Handy of Roanoke; his grandson Bryson Handy; his brothers, Roger Handy and Harold Handy; his nieces and nephews, Kevin Dudley, Clay Worrell, Joe Handy, Tyler Handy, Molly Handy Withers, Heywood Handy Thomas, Katie Handy Bittinger, Alison Handy and Lori Dudley Luviano; his friends, Gene Parker (Barbara), Andrew Parker, Wes Parker, Linda Prillaman, Morris, Susie Walthall, Lowell, Judy Haynes, Ben, Abbie Pinckard, Bud and Carolyn Blanchard; and his siblings-in-law, L. E. Cooper, Janet Handy, Paulette Cooper, Vicki Dudley, Marni Cooper and JeRena Handy.
