James Wilson Carter Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Wilson Carter (Rocky Mount, Virginia), who passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Carter and Eliza "Sis" Carter (Carolyn "Kitty" Fralin); his siblings, Ronnie, Glen Carter and Linda Stone; his nephews, Ricky and David Carter; and his in-laws, Cecil and Ruth Fralin.
He is survived by: his daughter Cathy; his son-in-law Mike Thurman; his grandchildren, Crystal Richardson (Shawn) and Lindsey Shelton (Barry); his siblings, Cam, Roger, Milton Carter, Bettie Powell and Donna Hatcher; and his siblings-in-law, Mildred Rigney, Oliver, Terry and Keith Fralin.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Franklin Memorial Park (240 S Main St, Rocky Mount, VA 24151).
