Jesse DeShazo Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jesse DeShazo of Rocky Mount, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 17, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse DeShazo and Pauline Moore; his daughter Myeisha Marie Wright; and his sister Wanda Lee DeShazo. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Wright DeShazo; his children, Jesse Maurice DeShazo (Natalie), Tiwianna Hairston (Kenny), Aubrey Wright, Tony Wright (Casey) and Jamie Wright (Melanie); his grandchildren, Darius Lane, Fadre Price, Aiden Hylton, Dominic Wright, Kendra Hairston, Emma Hylton, Levi DeShazo, Brynlee Wright, Kaeden Wright and Stella DeShazo; his great grandchild Ivy Price; and his aunt Christine McAlister. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount (665 S Main St, Rocky Mount, VA 24151). Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Faith Fellowship Church (100 Wirtz Rd, Wirtz, VA 24184). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
