With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mark Anthony Smith of Rocky Mount, Virginia, who passed away on January 26, 2026 at the age of 52. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Mark departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mark may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mark leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Judy Ann Smith (Divers) and Terry Iven Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Skye Reagan Rousey (Matt); and his siblings, Lisa Wells (Mickey), Teresa Pruitt (Joe), Trenda Ruiz (Emilio), Bodie Smith (Ginger) and Kevin Smith (Jennifer). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations be made to Henry Fork Service Center.
