He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. LaPrad, Sr. and Tressa LaPrad; his brothers, Frankie and Larry LaPrad; and his grandson Travis Lee Golden.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy BelleIsle LaPrad; his children, Stacey Doss (Mike), Michael LaPrad Jr. (Melissa) and DeWayne LaPrad (Sherryl); his stepchildren, Dallas Elkins (Ann), Eddie Schilling (Joanna), Lake Schilling (Sherree) and Cassie Meikle; his grandchildren, Christopher Moore, Blaine Golden (Chelsea), Kaley Campbell, Ryan LaPrad (Tiffany), Michael LaPrad III, Camden LaPrad and Charlie LaPrad; his stepgrandchildren, Corey Elkins, Cortney Lee (Duane), Hunter Bryant, David Walsh, Kelly Whitten (Alex), Beazy Schilling, Ann Wesley Schilling, Jasmin Schilling, Amelia BelleIsle, Liliana Meikle, James Meikle and Jordan Meikle; his great grandchildren, Hazel, Auggie, Rylan, Michael IV, McKinley and Tanner; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Raven, Jaden, Joel, Carter, Carson and Carley; his brothers, Eddie LaPrad (Doris) and Gary LaPrad (Carol); his sister-in-law Shirley LaPrad; his aunts, Tenny Gilmore, Mary Bethea and Rosemary Maxey; and his nephews, Kevin LaPrad (Debbie), Scott LaPrad (Tanya), Brett LaPrad (Danielle) and Jason LaPrad (Savannah). He is also survived by numerous cousins and other family members.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (55 Highland Ave, Rocky Mount, VA 24151).
