With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Olvis Hamblett (Rocky Mount, Virginia), who passed away on July 19, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Winchester Brumfield and Roberta Whorley Brumfield; her husband Euell Hamblett; and her brothers, Herman and Dennis Brumfield.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Hamblett (Melissa) and Tammy Hamblett Shorter (Rick); her grandchildren, Derek Shorter and Amy Shorter-Holland (Jamie); her great grandchildren, Luke and Levi Holland; her sister Alice Scott; and her sisters-in-law, Marcella Peters (Ray), Gerry Gilley, Pat Hamblett and Susan Hamblett. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
