It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Sigmon of Rocky Mount, Virginia, who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Elbert and Vera Mae Weddle Sigmon; his sister Peggy S. Love; his brothers-in-law, Floyd Love, V. B. Hall and Jimmy Housman; his nephew Steve Hall; and his great-niece Emma Walker.
He is survived by: his children, Renee Burton (Mike) and Rick Sigmon (Cynthia); his grandchildren, Brandon (Crystal), Ben (Kaitlyn), Lola, Daniel, Riley, Zack and Max; his siblings, Jerry Sigmon (Patty), Alice S. Hall, Sue S. Housman and Betty S. Hudson; and his close friend Joyce Willie.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Franklin Memorial Park (240 S Main St, Rocky Mount, VA 24151).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
