He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Betterton Sr. and Adele K. Betterton. He is survived by: his wife Lynette Betterton; his children, Jason Betterton (Lorrie) and Sarah Hodges (Charlie); his granddaughters, Lily, Ave Betterton and Maggie Hodges; his brother Kenny Betterton (Janet); and his mother-in-law Lucy Quinn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Book Hotel Flora Funeral Service (665 S Main St, Rocky Mount, VA 24151).
