It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rodney Waylon Scott Sr. of Rocky Mount, Virginia, who passed away on August 13, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Scott and Wilma Scott (Gillispie); and his brothers, Lester and Glee Scott (Edna). He is survived by: his wife Gale Scott; his children, Rodney (Wanda) and Melissa (Cliff); his granddaughters, Whitney (Lou) and Michaela (Michael); his siblings, James Arthur and Joyce Cundiff; his sister-in-law Sandra Holt (Tommy); his nieces and nephews, Celeste, Marcy (Steve), Pam (Tim), Bonnie, Lacy, Art (Megan), Glee Jr. 'Scotty' (Amy), Eddie, Mike (Donna) and Ricky; and his pet Jessie.
The family requests that donations be made to the ministries of Waylon's heart at Franklin Heights Church in lieu of flowers.
