He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Wolton Akers and Louise Sowder Akers; his wife Brenda A. Akers; his grandson Braeton L. Hagy; and his siblings, Eugene W. Akers and Nancy L. Rhodes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Hodges (Duane), Robin Wunderlich (Dana) and Karen Hagy (Larry); his grandchildren, Zachary Hodges, Caitlin Abelseth (Jacob), Megan Wunderlich (Justin), Tyler Wunderlich and Caroline Hagy; and his great grandchildren, Cadence, Fender, Ronen, Ava, Ella Abelseth and Tillie Mae Witcher.
