It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shelby Garrett Dix of Rocky Mount, Virginia, who passed away on November 29, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Edmond K. Garrett, Jr. and Claris Brooks; and her sister Joann Davis Jones. She is survived by: her children, Phillip Edmond Garrett (Donna) of Forest, Virginia and Rhonda Garrett Winters (David) of Winston-Salem; her granddaughters, Danielle Garrett Weko (Drew), Jessica Jean Turner and Alyce Gentry Fogel (Joe); her great grandchildren, Leighton Fogel and Emery Fogel; her siblings, Daniel Edgar Davis, Jr. (Shelia) and Gail Davis Nixon; and her brother-in-law Roger Garrett (Mary). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
