She was predeceased by: her father Paul "Jack" Compton. She is survived by: her mother Jeanette Harger Compton; her husband Gerald Taylor; her son John Wigington (Sherri); her stepchildren, Chris Taylor (Jessica) and Bonnie Harlow Menefee (John); her siblings, Karen Pryor and Al Compton (Shannon); and her stepgrandchildren, Aiden Menefee, Cullen Taylor, Destani Wilson (Hunter), Chase Fitzgerald (Brenna), Malachi Fitzgerald and Grason Fitzgerald. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service Bassett Chapel (1230 Oak Level Rd, Bassett, VA 24055).
