He is survived by: his children, Filmore Scott (Alma) of Appomattox, William E. Scott, Jr. of Lynchburg, Catherine Scott Tune of Lynchburg, Alonzo Scott of Norfolk and James Scott, Sr. of Pamplin. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
