He was predeceased by: his parents, Enos Powell and Lillian H. Powell; his brothers, Glenn Powell and Gale Powell; and his son William "Billy" Edward Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Emily M. Powell; his children, Cindy Powell Zug (Jon), Keith Via (Becky), David Powell (Lynne), Kevin Via (Tracey), Mark Via (Ingrid) and Bruce Powell (Dee-Dee); and his pet Bella. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a niece and nephew.
