He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Stapleton and Nora Alice Lowe Stapleton; his wife Lessie Anderson Stapleton; and his stepchildren, Larry Blevins, Jack Blevins and Sherry Jump.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Curtis Blevins, Allen Blevins (Angie), Dale Belvins and Ted Blevins (Janice). He is also survived by Several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
