He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Paxton Arnold and Nancy Katherine Tibbs Arnold. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Roberts Arnold; his children, Archie Glenn Arnold (Kim Mabe) of Kents Store, VA and Rachel Stokas (Bob) of Oak Lawn, IL; and his grandchildren, Mary Emily Stokas, Jimmy Stokas and Sonny Arnold.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lindsey Funeral Home (219 N Main St, Rural Retreat, VA 24368). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church (514 S Main St, Rural Retreat, VA 24368).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson's research, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Southwest Virginia Food Bank.
