He is survived by: his mother Jocelyn L. Dews; his son Damian Dews; his grandmother Edith H. Dews of Brookneal; his aunt Marcia Nicole Dews of Charlotte, NC; and his great-aunt Marcia L. Ferguson of Appomattox. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
