He is survived by: his wife Pamela Mayhew Cowart; his brothers, Leonard of Rustburg and Louis Cowart (Nancy) of College Grove, Tennessee.; his children, Dennis Michael Cowart (Darlene) of Brookneal and Courtney Cowart Phillips (Josh); his granddaughters, Kinley Chase Phillips and Cambre Reese Phillips; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Cowart of Rustburg and Carolyn Cowart of Altavista.
