He is survived by: his stepfather John T. Payne; his wife Vera Walker Sparrow; his caregiver Vera Walker Sparrow; his grandson Isaiah B. Sparrow; his daughter-in-law Natalie; his siblings, Julius Sparrow (Carolyn) of South Carolina, Melvin Sparrow of Lynchburg, John Payne of Gaithersburg, MD and Wanda "Bertie" Bowman of Evington, VA; his siblings-in-law, Clarence Walker (Margaret) of Rustburg, David Walker (Margaret) of Brookneal, Virginia and Cynthia Walker of Temple Hills, MD.; and his nieces, Angela Yolanda, Raven and Kanika.
