He is survived by: his wife Barbara Singleton Davis; his children, Lisa Davis Nowicki (Robert) of Barboursville, James "Jim" Davis III of Fredericksburg and Elizabeth D. Clarke (Bob) of Lynchburg; his grandchildren, Janie, Marta Nowicki, Emma and Aaron Clarke; his brother Lee Davis (Elsie) of Gladys; and his close friend Barry Ferguson (Lyn-Dan Heights Ruritan) of Lynchburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Whites Church.
