She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Herndon Toombs and Virginia T. Kube; and her sister Pauline Lunsford. She is survived by: her husband Lloyd Leonard Carter; her children, Teresa Satterwhite (Michael), Peggy Snead (David) and Timothy Lloyd Carter (Kelly); and her sister Mary V. Robinson (Terry). She is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
