Annie E. Gardner Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Annie E. Gardner of Salem, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 24, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eden Agee and Annie Agee; her siblings, Epperly Agee, Curtis Agee, Tom Agee, Claudia Wood, Elizabeth Hubbard, Mary Lee Yeatts, Fannie Reynolds, Judith Johenning and Rosetta Wheeler; and her husband James Lee Gardner.
She is survived by: her daughters, Anita Barden, Carolyn Garst (David) and Mary Ann Penney (Raye); and her grandchildren, Andrew Barden (Lisa), Jenny Blazvick (Shaun), David Garst (Rachel), Kevin Garst (Sarah), Jamie Garst (Sarah), Katherine Jamison (Michael) and Alison Rawlins. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Central United Methodist Church located at 428 South College Avenue in Salem, Virginia 24153.
