It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty L. Maxson Ford of Salem, Virginia, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty L. Maxson Ford to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Rufus Elijah and Annabelle Williams Maxson; her son Robert L. "Bobby" Ford; her brother Robert L. Maxson; her sister-in-law Doris Maxson; her sister Sandra Schmit; her brother-in-law Carl Schmit; and her nieces and nephews, James Barker, Johnny Jenkins, David Maxson, Tammy Heideman, Patrick Schmit (Shelly), Kevin Schmit (Jill), Robyn Barber (David), Lindsay Cutler (Chip), Spencer Maxson, Alan Jenkins (Karen), Lemuel Muniz and Benjamin Muniz (Rebecca).

She is survived by : her daughter Deborah S. Veltri (Paul F. Veltri) of Clarksburg; her grandchildren, Danielle N. Veltri (Jon T. Capicola), Paul F. Veltri II, Jessica Veltri, Mia, Stella, Sage and Izzy; her brother Michael Maxson (Barbara Maxson) of Colorado; her nieces and nephews, Robert, Maria Maxson, Renea Posey (Marty) and Daniel Maxson; and her pet Snuggles.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
