He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley A. Clayton and Julia P. Willis; his son Daniel A. Clayton, Jr.; and his siblings, Stanley A. Clayton, Jr. and Lydia Dean.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, David A. Clayton of Bremerton, WA, Angela Clayton Pittman (Kent) of Surry, VA and Todd A. Clayton (Ann) of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Travis, Josh, Curtis, Christian, Molly, Raeann, Nathaniel and Walker; his great grandchild Kaline; and his siblings, Karen Griffin and Javonne Willis.
