He was predeceased by: his parents, Glee Carter and Wilma Carter; and his siblings, Robert Samuel Carter, Barbara Flo Melvin and Phyllis Jean Bessler.
He is survived by: his brother Roy Carter, Sr.; his niece Faith Kobrehel (Michael); his sister Elizabeth Hamblin; and his nieces and nephews, Sandi Cantel (Brian), Wilma Melvin (Warren), Linda Shoemaker, Sherry Graham, Kim Bessler, Ron Melvin (Stacey), Andy Hamblin (Sheila), Mike Hamblin, Jeff Carter, Rick Bessler (Kathleen), Ray Bessler, Roy Carter, Jr. (Angel) and Shannon Carter (Ammie Jo). He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
