He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Norvell and Denny Van Buren, Sr.; and his wife Peggy Van Buren. He is survived by: his stepsons, Kim Morrell (Elizabeth) and Keith Morrell (Diane); and his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Morrell, Cade Morrell and Annie Bryant.
