He was predeceased by: his parents, Thornton A. DeHart and Elizabeth Lewis DeHart; his sons, Leonard T. DeHart, William Charles "Billy" Meador and Anthony Kirk "Tony" Meador; and his sister Ann DeHart Jewell.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Dove DeHart; his children, Richard DeHart (Susan), James Meador and Connie Firestone (Richard); his grandchildren, Kenny, Michael, Nikki, Dale, Lucy, Mandy, Tonya, Chris, Jennifer and Cody; and his sisters, Peggy DeHart Crafton and Patricia Long. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
