He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry L. Stanley and Callie M. Stanley; and his siblings, Virginia Stump (Ed), Jeanine Mullins (Don), Mary Thompson (Jim) and Donald Stanley (Debbie).
He is survived by: his wife Judith T. Stanley; his children, Sharon Hill (Tom), Susan Gardner (Mike), Sherill Steffan (Steve) and Scott Stanley (Christi); his grandchildren, Warren Gardner, Ashley Hawkins (Dylan), Matthew Hill (Paige), Kasey Rogers (Dustin), Regan McDaniel (Shawn), Cady Hill, Emily Steffan, Ryan Stanley, Scott Steffan, Mason Stanley and Haley Steffan; his great grandchildren, Hayden Rogers, Eden Hill and Tatum Hill; and his sibling's children, Mark Thompson (Traci), Donna Plebani (Ronnie), Buddy Dale Stump (Barb) and Chris Stanley (Stephanie). He is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the New Life Presbyterian Church (101 Keesling Ave, Salem, VA 24153). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Life Presbyterian Church in honor of H.L.'s enduring faith and service.
