He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wilson Rust Sr. and Beatrice Fahead. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his siblings, Linda Davis and Ronnie Rust; and his children, James Rust III (Abby), Cynthia Figgers (Bill), Kathryn Evans (Shawn) and Stephanie Welles (Brad).
