With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jewell Epling of Salem, Virginia, born in Newport, Virginia, who passed away on August 2, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Cook Vaught and Leonard Christian Vaught. She is survived by: her son Billy; her husband William Brady Epling; her children, William Brady Epling, Jr. (Debbie) of Aiken, SC, Janet Epling Shaw (Rusty) of Herndon, VA and Dr. Carol Ann Epling (Brad Gaynes) of Chapel Hill, NC.; her grandchildren, Brad (Jennifer), Beth, Kathryn (Nathan), Margaret, Helen and Ben; and her siblings, Leon Vaught of Floyd, VA, Sylvia Vaught Pace of Newport News, VA and Howard Vaught of Roanoke, VA..
