She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Warren McElmurray III of Salem; and her parents, Fred Peery and Dora Louise Peery of Tazewell. She is survived by: her children, Fred Warren McElmurray (Mary Anne) and Shari McElmurray Holbrook (Clark); her grandchildren, Philip Edward McElmurray (Laura), John Alexander McElmurray (Chuan Xia), Christopher Peery Holbrook and Kaitlyn Ann Holbrook; her great grandchildren, Leon Max and Elanor Renee McElmurray; her nieces, Mary Alice Woodrum (Bear) and Kristin Sanders (Johnny); and her nephew Vaden Ball (Melissa).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Covenant Presbyterian Church (1831 Deyerle Rd SW, Roanoke, VA 24018). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location.
