He was predeceased by: his mother Carolyn Hughes; and his stepfather David Hughes. He is survived by: his father James "Jim" Hicks; his son Brendan Hicks; his pet Benson; his siblings, Brian Hicks (Jami) and Tara Hicks (Chris Tyler); his friends, Libby Wilson and Katina Eckles; and his siblings' children, Caleb, Alex Hicks, JD Hughes, Tatum, Langley Hicks and Maddie Tyler.
