He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia Walton; his stepfather James Walton; his father James Funk; and his stepmother Nancy Funk. He is survived by: his girlfriend Lynda Thurston; his children, Whitney Funk, Brandon Funk (Natalie) and Jamie Gordon (Artis); his grandchildren, Nathan Funk, Frankie Funk and Aubrey Gordon; and his sister Darlene Funk Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
