He was predeceased by: his parents, Clovis Aubrey "Sunny" and Clara Fortner Burnette; and his brothers, Mike and Andy. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Godsey Burnette; his children, Dennis Mitchell "Denny" (Michelle), Mark Burnette, Jr. (Heather) and Jill Burnette; and his grandchildren, Haley, Mitch, Caitlin, Justin of Stephanie, P. J., Maegan, Lexi, Logan, Landon and Zoe. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
