With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Ann Walker Stewart Lavinder Fields (Salem, Virginia), who passed away on January 7, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jennings Walker and Annabelle Wood Walker; her former husbands, Joseph Clay Stewart, Jr. and Kyle F. Lavinder; and her siblings, Julian Walker, Katherine Walker Burnette, Irma Jean Walker Boothe and Patricia A. Walker Ibrahim.
She is survived by: her husband G. Thomas "Tom" Fields; her children, Donna Barger (Tim) of Vinton, VA, Barry Stewart (Julie) of Shawsville, VA and Brian Stewart (Vivian) of Roanoke, VA.; and her sister Mary Walker Snow.
