She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Muscoe and Nannie "Rose" Helms Winn; her stepmother Ann Wyatt Winn Boswell; her husband Jack Bertram Shipe; and her siblings, Pauline Muller, Nannie Ruth Blackard (Richard), Margaret Kellam (J. E.), Irving Simmons, J. M. (Dee), Mike (Nellie) and Ben Carr, Sr. (Ann).
She is survived by: her son William "Bill" Shipe; her grandchildren, Kellie Lester (Chip), Allen, Jason, Vincent and Jennifer (Brent); her nieces and nephews, Sue Nickelston (Paul), Joe Kellam (Michiko), Ben Winn, Jr., Joe May (Juanita), Dell May and Susan Emmert (J. B.); and her caregivers, Rita Layne, Belinda Sink, Marilyn Holley and Cheyanna Forson. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
