Mary Virginia Lewis Kestner Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Virginia Lewis Kestner (Salem, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 30, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Marshall Lewis and Celia Roxie Blevins Lewis; and her husband Ernest Carter Kestner. She is survived by: her children, Gwen Woods (Dan) of Eden, N. C., Melinda Hopkins of Salem, Sheila Melki (Pierre) of Roanoke, Darlene Ullom of Salem and Lawrence Kestner (Cheryl) of Salem; her siblings, Sarah "Sutie" Perry (Marvin), Gene Lewis of Fishersville and Walter Lewis (Alice) of Fishersville; and her sisters-in-law, Sarah Kestner London Clark of Eden, N. C, Carolyn Lewis of Abingdon and Mary. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
