It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Missouri Lyerly Nelson of Salem, Virginia, who passed away on October 18, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James E. Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Annemarie (Mark Couture) of Cramerton, NC, Jane McDaniel of Roanoke, VA and Duane Nelson of Charleston, SC; her grandson James McDaniel (Ashley); her children, Sara Aylor (Ian), Bradford McDaniel (Lauren) and Emily Reed (Crenshaw); and her close friends, Jerry McDaniel and Phyllis Bateman. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the Nelson Family has requested that memorials be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1008 Franklin Rd SW, Roanoke, VA 24016.
