We bid farewell to Myrtle Andre Garvey (Salem, Virginia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 24, 2025 at the age of 83. Myrtle Andre touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Edward F. Garvey; her parents, George Witherow and Elizabeth Price; her siblings, Charles Witherow, Anna Goetschius and Dorothy Smith; and her stepgrandson James G. Batchelor.

She is survived by: her sister Jean Romero; her sons, James Rockwell, Jr. of Florida and Gary Rockwell (Kathleen) of Michigan; her stepdaughters, Deborah Batchelor (Michael) of South Carolina and Karen Ughetta (Raoul) of Virginia; her grandsons, John Rockwell (Nicole VanNess) and Daniel Rockwell (Nicole Stephenson); and her stepgrandchildren, Christopher Moraski (Jessica Graves), Kevin Batchelor (Nacha Belcher) and Ashley Ughetta Russ (Erik Russ).

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
