Nina Stanley Edwards Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nina Stanley Edwards of Salem, Virginia, who passed away on January 29, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Garnett Stanley and Virginia Myrtle Rakes Stanley; her husband Edgar Dean Edwards; and her siblings, Marie Mitchell, Iva Martin, Clarice Ward (Forest Williams) and Curtis Stanley.

She is survived by: her son Lynwood; her daughter-in-law Robin Funk of Buchanan, Virginia; her granddaughters, Meaghan Funk Rookstool (Travis) and Heather Funk Whitman (Adam); her great grandchildren, Avery Rookstool, Payson Rookstool, Robert Whitman and Theodore Whitman; and her sister Glenda Mills of Cripple Creek, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Stevens Creek Church or the Good Samaritan House.
