It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia McSwain Hancock (Salem, Virginia), born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on February 12, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles of Salem; and her parent James D. McSwain of Salem. She is survived by: her daughters, Helen Hancock of Salem and Carol Hancock Whalen (Bruce); her grandchildren, Jeremiah of Pine Ridge, SD., Elizabeth of Pine Ridge, SD. and Bruce, Jr. of Pine Ridge, SD.; her sister Nancy Phipps (Bill) of Harlingen; and her brother-in-law Preston Hancock (Tonya). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
