With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Pauline Olsen (Salem, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Joseph Pelerine and Elizabeth Ann Pelerine; and her siblings, Wilfred Arthur Pelerine, Henry Pelerine, Helen Margaret Pelerine Richard and Elizabeth Ann Pelerine.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Cameron of Antigonish, NS; her daughters, Paulette Thatcher of Hanover, PA, Jane Olsen of Clifton Forge, VA, Barbara Mendiola of Charlotte, NC, Sandra Lyden and Tricia Tyler of Pulaski, VA; her grandchildren, Jeremy Thatcher of Hanover, PA, Krista Olsen of Roanoke, VA, Rebecca Thatcher of Hanover, PA, Ian Bennett, Stephannie Homa and Sarah Bean of Charlotte, NC; and her great grandchildren, Aislinn, Maeve Thatcher of Hanover, PA, Charlotte Grace Bean and Everly Rose Bean of Charlotte, NC.. She is also survived by five daughters, she also leaves behind grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local hospice organization in gratitude for the care and comfort she received in her final days.
