Ray Goens Jr. Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on August 27, 2025, at the age of 62, Ray Goens Jr. (Salem, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Doug Goens and Norma Goens; his sister Elaine Mitchell; his brother-in-law Glenn Craig; and his wife Peggy Goens.

He is survived by: his brother Tony Goens (Melinda); his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Edelstein (Gene), Glenda Matthes (Mark) and Marlene Craig; his parents-in-law, George and JoAnne Craig; and his cousin Cindy Wellons. He is also survived by extended family includes numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Angels of Assisi in Roanoke.
