We announce the death of Robert Wendell Boyer (Salem, Virginia), who passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 90. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He is survived by: his wife Lynne Boyer (Beck); his daughters, Becky McConnell (Joe) and Nancy Vazquez (Epi); his grandchildren, Kaitlin Davis (Jon), Thomas McConnell (Emily), Megan Rotz (Nick), Jaclyn Vazquez (Ryan) and Trevor Vazquez (Anna); and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Charlotte McConnell, James, Winnie Rotz and Elliot Davis.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (125 W Main St, Salem, VA 24153). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bob's honor to First United Methodist Church (Salem, VA), Good Samaritan Hospice (Roanoke, VA), or the Salem Choral Society.
