He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Craighead and Jean C. Craighead; and his brothers, William M. Craighead, Jr. and James L. Craighead. He is survived by: his wife Janet Terry Akers Craighead; his close friends, Russell Craighead, Cynthia Miller, Anne Craighead, Steve, Beth Craighead, Nancy Craighead, Janet Ardam, Tim and Debra Craighead; and his adoptive daughter Amanda Allen. He is also survived by family members include five children and their spouses.
