With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sharon Elizabeth Gibson of Salem, Virginia, who passed away on May 12, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Hurst and Ora Mae Hurst; and her siblings, Wilma Geraldine Hurst, Hilda Ernestine Hurst, Onsby Dale Hurst, Edzel Emory Hurst, Larry Bernard Hurst, Iris Gale Broyles and Reginald Denny Hurst.
She is survived by: her husband George "Hoot" Bob Gibson; her children, Tammy Cohen (Keith) and Rob Gibson (Amanda); her grandchildren, Griffin, Kate and Macy Gibson; and her siblings, Brenda Milner, Jerry, Carlos and Randal Hurst.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Sharon's honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
