He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Havens and Hattie Victoria Townley Havens; his wife Mary Anna Overbay Havens; and his siblings, Clyde Wilmer Havens, Carylene Stafford, Beatrice Millirons and Bernice Nance Carey.

He is survived by: his brother-in-law Robert Carey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
