With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter S Wade (Salem, Virginia), who passed away on May 9, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kyle Wade and Flora Wade (Blankenship); his siblings, Lena Wade Basham (Clyde), Mildred Wade Haywood (Elmer), Aretta Wade Mitchell (Cecil), Gene Wade and Warren Lee Wade; his parents-in-law, Claude and Lura Fulcher (Wall); and his brothers-in-law, James Pollard and Andy Shrewsberry.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Fulcher Wade (Dot); his children, Cindy Harvey (Brandol) of Daleville, VA and Steve Wade (Valerie Stilipec) of North Pole, AK; his siblings, Hazel Pollard of Rich Creek, VA and Owen Tee Wade (Mary Lou) of Dublin, VA; and his nephews, Tommy and Joey Bailey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Glen Lyn Church of Christ Benevolent Fund and a special thank you to his caregivers at Our Lady of the Valley and Good Sam Hospice.
