He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace G. Lane and Lila W. Lane; and his sister Doris M. Lane. He is survived by: his wife Peggy M. Lane; his children, Mike Lane, Pam L. Gordon and Kevin Lane (Faith); and his grandchildren, Jaclyn L. Saunders (Bryan), Jordian L. Dillon (Dave), Jamie L. Tarpley (Phillip), Christian Lane (Abbey), Cory Lane (Heather), Emily Agee and Bob Agee.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:30 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oakey's South Chapel (4257 Brambleton Ave, Cave Spring, VA 24018). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sherwood Memorial Park (1250 E Main St, Salem, VA 24153).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bethel Baptist Church General Fund or to the American Legion in his memory.
